Canon Colors on Sony Alpha Camera Profile for Lightroom and Lightroom Classic

For nearly a decade, I was a Canon shooter. Today, I shoot Sony. I love everything about Sony, but I truly miss the color science and skin tones from Canon. This led me to explore creating a profile that would get me as close as possible to Canon colors on my Sony system. What I have developed is a mix of contrast, calibration, and curve changes in a single profile that is simple to use, and will allow you to use your favorite presets.

To create this product, I shot on both a Canon 5D Mark IV and a Sony a7rIII in exact same scenarios, lighting, and exposure. I then altered the Sony RAW file until it was identical to the Canon. Attached are examples of the Sony RAW file with the Adobe Standard profile, and the Canon Colors on Sony profile. You’ll see alterations in contrast and color immediately. All images are exactly the same setting, only changing the profile.

This product includes the Canon Colors on Sony Alpha Camera Profile, and a PDF instruction booklet on how to install it and use it. This is compatible with both Lightroom and Lightroom Classic.
