A few years ago we visited the studio of artist Joe Taveras in Boston, Massachusetts.
Then we joined Joe and fellow artist Matthew Moloney in Paris for their art show, Here Now.
Now we are back at Joe’s newest studio: The Compound. A stunning property in the middle of the woods, this is an epic spot to create and enjoy creation.
Direct quote from Joe Taveras about his experience at The Compound:
Each studio that I’ve held has had a different energy, a different aesthetic, and a different range of possibilities. My current work environment consists of multiple properties and studios situated on 25 acres in the middle of the woods. Located between Boston and New York City, The Compound is my creative sanctuary. Here, I am able to not only expand my painting and sculpture practices, but I have also been building my own utopia over time with a plethora of daily activities such as foraging, archery, gardening, and more. Surrounded by nature, I have found that my painting has taken an exciting turn for the infinite!
These photos are from a recent visit to Joe’s new studio in the Northeast where he showed off some new pieces and we talked about his latest works. Cover photo by Joe Taveras. All other photography provided by Moloney Creative Agency.
