Film Vlog LUTs by Static Motion
Creating these LUTs, I tried to keep the film stylized look with the simultaneous preservation of the natural skin tone. I’ve pampered the colors for so long until I’ve decided it’s time to give you a try to create beautiful shots using my LUT, GH5 is an amazing camera where you can get amazing shots after minor adjustments of skin color.
When coloring a 8 bit image in VLOG, expect bends in the colors and possible strange shades on the skin.Just do not use VLOG when recording 8bit. When recording scenes in low light use the CinelikeD.
NATURAL – It is a profile that tries to preserve the very natural color of the skin and at the same time give the video material a slightly cinematic look. In my opinion, it is very nice to the eye, therefore it is suitable for use in artificial and natural light. It’s best for everyday use to make daily vlogs and postings them on Youtube
LAVALETTE – Probably my favorite profile. Blacks are not as crushed as Holmes Beach, which gives a more contrasting look. I use it with a nice warmer white balance.
SANDY RIDGE – The profile matches the FujiFilm film emulating color perfectly. Light magenta shades and a little blue in the shadows.
HOLMES BEACH – A profile that perfectly matches summer and holiday shots. Approaches the teal and orange look with a bit crushed black levels.
KY FOREST – As the name suggests, the profile best reflects its properties when used on shots with a large amount of green, brown. Toned colors are part of the schema of today’s wedding movies in the style of boho. I recommend adding saturation to give some punch.
