Moody Tones for Nature Photographers
This bundle of photo filters was created by travel and nature photographer, Tim Kapffenstein, also known as @the_camera_dude. His presets are perfect for adding moody tones with vivid effects to instantly bring your photos to life.
Here’s a bit from Tim, “My name is Tim Kapffenstein and I’m a self-taught photography enthusiast based in the South of Germany, who focuses on landscape and travel photography.
I love to shoot in moody conditions and try to achieve a kind of cinematic look. My goal was to create an editing kit for other photographers, especially beginners, which covers most of the common scenarios a landscape photographer steps into, from epic sunrises to adventurous drone shots.”

Preset Landscape Neutral | Preset gives you a nice starting point for any further editing of your landscape pictures. It brings out the detail of your RAW-files and gives the picture some nice contrast. This preset works nicely with any kind of landscape shot.
Preset Landscape Faded | With this Preset you get what I call a more “cinematic landscape” type-look. The preset creates a kind of faded look and plays with the colors, especially with the greens, the yellows and the blues. To match the preset to your photos, it works best to go the “HSL/Color/B/W“ Tab in Adobe Lightroom and play around with “Saturation“- and “Luminance“ sliders of these three colors. This preset works best with shots where you want to achieve a more desaturated look.
Preset Mission Sunrise | As the name says, the “Mission Sunrise“ preset adds some more punch to your sunrise (or sunset) shots. It enhances the warm glow of the sun and brings out some more detail. It also gives you great results with sunrise shots which contain the ocean, as it keeps some of the natural blues.
Preset Aerial | The Preset “Aerial“ gets the most out of your drone landscape shots. It boosts the contrast, brings out the details and adds a slight fade to the picture, as well as some vignetting which can easily be adjusted.
Preset Mood Booster | This Preset is a great match for all those amazing grey and rainy autumn shots, as it emphasizes elements like fog and clouds and gives the shot a slightly cooler atmosphere. It also plays with the saturation and luminance of the greens which can easily be adjusted to fit to your shots.
