A wide angle lens is a lens where the focal length is significantly shorter than the focal length of a normal lens. This shorter length of lens allows for a wider field of view to capture an entire scene without excluding anything in the background.
Put in simpler terms; it is removing the tunnel vision a regular camera would have an allows you to see the big picture. Great for real estate photography, portraits, and beyond, a wide angle lens can help you achieve the desired results for your photos.
The right gear and lens type can take your photography game to the next level. Special thanks to Brent Barbano, Co-Founder of ShareGrid, for the cover image.
