Robert Geller: Gustav Von Aschenbach Presentation

Featured Robert Geller-Gustav Von Aschenbach-FilterGrade Blog

For Robert Geller, this season was a little bit different. Rather than showing his eponymous label, Geller decided to show a new line – Guston Von Aschenbach.  Along side going with the new line, he also decided to go with a see-now, buy-now trail to be revealed on the day of the show, July 11, 2017.

One of Geller’s favorite books, Death in Venice, by Thomas Mann was the main muse for his showing and it was all based on the main character of the book and also movie, Gustav Von Aschenbach.

During Geller’s preview, we saw a variety of oversized coats and t-shirts, along with well-worn and high-grade Japanese textiles. Geller’s use of complimentary colors proved to be the perfect fit when paired with his textiles of all lengths and widths.

This is the start of something new for Geller and it’s definitely an interesting direction.
